Renaken is new to the musical distribution world and we stumbled upon the opportunity to put our music on JANGO RADIO. Wow! That was a stellar move! This is amazingly fun!
Jango reaches people all over the world. The station places our music in with established artists- so there is an opportunity for people to hear it in the midst of their listening experience. There is an place on the radio site where these listeners can indicate their reaction to the music in several ways. They can become a fan, make a comment and/or leave their email address.

Second Album of I Ching Gates Out!
This second Volume of a musical interpretation of the I Ching hexagrams contains sixteen images. The symbols evoked by the yin and yang combination of lines form stories that range from “Approach” to “Retreat” and “The Joyous Lake” to “Revolution”. Richly layered with textures of sound, each listening experience brings something new.
If you have a copy of the I Ching you can follow along. Can you find the elephant dancing through in the “Enthusiasm” track? Do you hear which way “they” are moving in Retreat and is it a different direction in “Revolution”? Do you move inside the shaft as you listen to “The Well”?
The Story of “Remedying” shows the process of being aware, finding that which has been “spoiled” and fixing it and so moves on, having been corrected, into “The Joyous Lake”.
Join us with the first track “Contemplation” – we’ll ride the wind and take note of what’s been going on!

SLIPPING GENTLY INTO THE STREAM
The Creative Process feels much like slipping into a flow. Being carried on currents of sound internally and externally causes time to ungrip and fall away. At least that is the experience of writing Ambient Child and the I Ching Gate Series have been so far.
Kent and I (Rena) often discuss “being in the zone” when the regular bits of life get disconnected and you forget to eat or drink from the cup you just poured an hour earlier. After reheating it for the second time, you return to find it has gone cold again. Where did the time slip away to?
That creative place exists between thoughts and this is where the most sublime sounds, paintings and words come from. Between thoughts is being “out of your mind” – it is so wonderful to have these times.
We posted Gate 11 yesterday . This is one of my very favorites. Upon entering this composition there is the sense of being in a stream gently carried along. It seems logical that taking those few minutes to slip into the Stream of Musical sound ,the listening state, can be as refreshing as going for a swim on a sweltering day – just for a few minutes – just to take the edge off the heat. The difference is with the “auditory swim” it is your heart and spirits that get refreshed.

I Ching Gates Vol 1
So we finally finished and published first of four album series I Ching – Gates. It is musical expression and representation of this old knowledge. The beauty of ancient truths are met with new comprehension! Ancient wisdom is revealed as the 64 hexagrams (symbols) of the I Ching are found to contain the codes of our genetic makeup. The Yin/Yang sequences are also linked to the binary computer codes.
This is the first in a series of four albums interpreting the 64 symbols of the I Ching. An I Ching symbol is called a hexagram and consists of 6 lines in different combinations of Yin and Yang that tell a unique story.
These original compositions are inspired by deep contemplation of each of these symbols; delving into the rhythms, colors and emotions that make up the Yin/Yang sequence.

Ambient Child – The CD Album
The single track “Ambient Child” happened almost by serendipity one cloudy March afternoon. The melodies seemed to form themselves effortlessly and we liked the result! When listening we felt transported to a gentler, more innocent time. Visions of bike rides on green summer days, running in the streets with friends and making cloud shapes into pictures while laying in a warm summer field were the kind of images we imagined. It felt like being in a movie!
This is when we got the idea to continue the journey ourselves and then perhaps invite others to join in. The next track began describing the angst of teenage years. We were envisioning the dark and lonely places that turbulent emotions can take you during those years. Our excitement for the project grew!
You’ll notice the tracks are quite lengthy and there are no lyrics. This is on purpose because our intention is to offer you an opportunity to run your own “mind movie” with the music of the CD as your accompaniment. Below you can find the images we used while the music was being created to use as a guide or you can create your own!
Ambient Child… Sunny summer afternoons, biking in the country, flowers, birds and bugs, innocence and fairy tales come true.
Ambient Turbulent… Smoldering emotions, adolescent agony, mystical longing.
SunTemplative… Flowing gently- the rhythms of your reality, your magical healing rituals.
Ambient Firelight…. Ancestral campfires through the ages, lineage, the Elders.
Ambi Unis….. Joyous expression of daily life and in those around you.
Links… The world of the Little Folk: fairies, elves, gnomes, animals, plants, trees, and rocks.
Joynment… All come together; the circle is complete to begin again.
